Voices of GLBT Youth
I was verbally harassed every day. I just couldn't deal with it so I left the school.
--Anthony
The teachers pretend that they don't hear it. Or just don't say anything at all.
--Maria
They say I've been bringing it upon myself, for acting so flamboyant.
--Gentry
It's pretty hard on a teenager when you have a parent who stops talking to you, and one who can't look at you.
--Chris

In Voices of GLBT Youth, 12 young people--gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning--share their experiences of growing up, coming out, and being queer. Their stories of harassment, and violence at school, their perspectives on homophobia in society, and their struggles for acceptance point out where many families and schools are failing LGBT youth.

Their message to adults: "The slightest thing you do will make so much of a difference."

An insightful video for educators and others who work with youth.
